Nintendo's next-generation Switch maybe will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 239

Nintendo's next-generation Switch maybe will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 239

It's been almost six years since the original Switch was launched, and the NVIDIA Tegra X1 custom chip-powered handheld is no longer able to keep up with the growing demand for gaming capabilities and user experience, so Nintendo is apparently already working on a new Nintendo's next-generation.

Nintendo has previously said that the Switch is doing well and that a new model will be announced in due course, but for now the NS is only halfway through its lifecycle. This suggests that Nintendo is indeed working on a new console, but I'm afraid it won't be available anytime soon.

Nintendo's next-generation Switch maybe will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 239 octa-core chip

As previously revealed by tipster @kopite7kimi, the Switch Pro (yet to be named) is powered by a chip codenamed Black Knight, a custom Tegra Orin T239 chip from Nvidia based on the Ampere GPU architecture (with 2048 CUDA cores) + ARM Cortex-A78AE CPU core.

The latest leaks available suggest that the new NS could indeed be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 239 chip. According to Reddit user u / followmeinblue, this is a SoC with an octa-core CPU, and his information has been confirmed by an Nvidia employee, as well as a comment from a Nintendo developer on the Linux kernel mailing list.

As of this leak, we now know the following details about the next generation Nintendo Switch.

  • NVIDIA T239 SoC
  • 8-core CPU - possibly ARM Cortex A78C, A78
  • Ampere based GPU, possibly including some Lovelace features
  • Second generation Nintendo Switch graphics API section includes DLSS 2.2 features and ray tracing support

Technology gets old fast. Many users replace their old devices. While many devices are sold and reused by others, some broken devices find themselves without a home. Some companies collect used phones from authorized phone suppliers and redesign them, and XreArt is one of those companies. Finally, they became in a framed artwork.
